Responsibility details are not available.
A masking set from the Czech maker Eduard for a model of the Avia B-534 of the fourth series in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit but pre-cut masks for the glazing and the other areas that are to stay free of paint. The TFace designation means that the set is prepared for the inner side of the glazing as well, so the frames look right even when you look into the cockpit.
The Avia B-534 is a Czechoslovak biplane fighter of the 1930s with fixed landing gear and a V12 engine. The fourth production series differs from the earlier forms mainly in its enclosed cockpit, and that is exactly why masking the glazing makes sense on it. The aircraft is one of the key types of prewar Czechoslovak aviation and is popular among modelers for its colorful camouflage schemes as well.
Wash and degrease the glazing, then lift the masks with tweezers and press them down with a toothpick. On a biplane, mask the places where the struts and rigging wires pass close to the glazing as well, so that you do not have to go back into hard-to-reach corners with a brush. Spray the paint in thin coats. We recommend finishing the struts only after the masks have been taken off, as they are easily knocked during handling.
The set is an accessory to a kit, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
