Responsibility details are not available.
A masking set in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, based in Obrnice near Most. It is not a kit but pre-cut masks of masking tape for covering the glazing of a model. With the Lancaster this set makes exceptional sense: the aircraft has a glazed nose, several gun turrets and a long canopy, so there are incomparably more frames than on a fighter and cutting them by hand would take long hours. The contents of the set are stated on the box.
The Avro Lancaster is a British four-engine heavy bomber of the Second World War period. The B.I version is the form with V12 Rolls-Royce Merlin engines. In design terms it is a mid-wing monoplane with twin rudders, a roomy bomb bay running along most of the fuselage and several defensive gun positions, whose glazing is exactly what makes the model laborious to paint.
Wash and degrease the glazing. Peel the masks off the backing film and press them down with a toothpick or a blunt skewer, above all on the edges of the frames. On the large areas between the frames it pays to add cover with tape or with masking fluid, so that you do not use the masks up on areas where anything will do. Before the color coat, apply a thin sealing coat of the shade of the frame. The gun turrets are practical to mask and paint separately, away from the fuselage, and to fit only onto the finished model. Take the masks off shortly after the paint has dried.
Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
