Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely cast resin radial engines for the American Consolidated B-24 Liberator heavy bomber in 1:48 scale. It is an aftermarket detail part for the engine nacelles that replaces the simplified plastic engines from a base kit, not a stand-alone aircraft model.
The Consolidated B-24 Liberator was an American four-engine heavy bomber of the Second World War, powered by four Pratt & Whitney R-1830 Twin Wasp radial engines. It was among the most numerously built American bombers and was used on all fronts as well as for patrol over the ocean.
Resin parts call for more careful work than plastic: first wash them to remove mold release residue, separate them carefully from the casting block and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding and cutting small parts. Apply a primer before painting. The cylinders of the engines come into their own once painted in metallic shades and gone over with a dry brush; before the nacelles are closed, check the seating depth dry.
The part is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
