This resin set from the Czech manufacturer Black Dog contains machine guns for the nose armament of the Douglas B-26K Counter Invader attack aircraft in 1:48 scale. It replaces simplified plastic parts with truer castings of the gun battery. It is not a model of the whole aircraft but a detail set for your base model.
The B-26K Counter Invader was a rebuilt version of the older Invader attack aircraft, deployed in counter-insurgency operations in Southeast Asia. It was marked out by a heavy nose battery of 12.7 mm machine guns intended for attacks on ground targets.
Wash the fine resin parts free of release agent and cut the casting blocks off carefully; the barrels are thin and easily damaged. Sand wet and with respiratory protection, and bond the parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). You can bring out a metal look with a graphite or metallic shade and light edge highlighting.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin accessory. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
