HGW 1:48 Nakajima B5N Kate, fabric seat belts replace the flat parts from the box with accurate laser-cut fabric belts with photo-etched fittings.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory set of seat belts from the Czech maker HGW intended for models of the Japanese B5N carrier torpedo bomber in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane kit but a detail set for the cockpit that markedly raises the realism of the crew seats.
The core is fine laser-cut fabric belts with realistic thickness and texture that can be bent and shaped like a real strap. They are complemented by photo-etched metal buckles and fittings. The belts are assembled according to the instructions, threaded through the buckles and seated in the seats; they are glued with super glue or modeling cement. The result looks far more convincing than flat plastic or decal belts.
The Nakajima B5N, known to the Allies as the Kate, was the main carrier torpedo and level bomber of the Imperial Japanese Navy at the beginning of the war in the Pacific and took part in a number of key operations including the attack on Pearl Harbor. On this type the crew cockpit is one of the details modelers care about.
The set contains only the belts and the fittings, not the aircraft model. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
