A scale replica of tuning electronics for detailed builds of Japanese cars. In the set is the body of the programmable control unit and with it a hand controller with a display, that is, a pair of parts that on real cars were fitted separately. Intended for models in 1:24 scale, it will come into its own in the cabin and in the space under the dashboard alike.
It was a full replacement for the factory engine management unit. It made it possible to retune the fuel injection and the ignition timing without a laptop, because the values could be changed directly on the hand controller hung in the cabin. In the nineteen-nineties and at the turn of the millennium a number of turbocharged Japanese cars had it fitted, and its angular display became a recognition mark of modified interiors.
It stands out best in an open cabin, where you can see inside: the controller glued by the steering column, on the center console or on the tunnel cover. The unit itself belongs at the passenger's feet or under the dashboard. The wiring is enough to suggest with thin wire, and you create the display with dark varnish and a drop of glossy resin. A wash into the molded edges will help lift the small lettering out.
The package contains the parts alone, without paints and without glue.
