A resin detail set for experienced modelers, not an airplane kit. The set replaces the exhaust nozzles of the English Electric Lightning, the British supersonic interceptor, in the F Mk. 2 and Mk. 6 versions in 1:48 scale. The Lightning carried a pair of engines mounted one above the other, so its rear end is dominated by two exhaust nozzles, and those are exactly what this set casts faithfully in resin.
The castings capture the depth and the inner structure of the nozzles with thin edges, which the plastic part from the box as a rule renders simplified and far too thick. An open, finely worked exhaust markedly improves the impression that the rear of a model makes. The set is shaped for the corresponding Lightning kit in this scale.
This is a resin detail set, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
