Eduard 1:48 Bell P-39/P-400 Airacobra TFace is a double-sided mask set for a model of this fighter in 1:48 scale. It contains masks for the outer and the inner side of the glazing; it is neither a kit nor a photo-etched set.

Die-cut self-adhesive masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. First a word on the kind of product: the package contains masking stencils for finishing a model. They are not metal photo-etched parts and it is not a kit, which has to be bought separately.
The Airacobra had an unusually arranged cockpit. Instead of a sliding canopy it was entered through side doors of automobile type, which had glazing of their own. There are therefore more glazed areas with frames than is usual on a fighter, and they are clearly visible both from the side and from the inside. That is exactly why the double-sided TFace set pays off on this type: the inner masks let you paint the frames from the inside in the interior shade, the outer ones then take the camouflage scheme on the outside.
The Bell P-39 Airacobra was an American fighter with an unusual layout: the engine was placed behind the pilot's cockpit and drove the propeller through a long shaft led under the floor. The aircraft also had a nosewheel landing gear, which was not usual on fighters at the time it appeared. The designation P-400 was carried by the export version originally ordered for Britain, which differed in armament. The type was used in large numbers above all on the Eastern Front, where it suited operations at low and medium altitudes.
Apply the inner masks to the glazing parts before you fit them and spray the interior shade. Only then set the glass in and add the outer masks. Work patiently on the door windows; they are small and the frames tend to be narrow. Apply the paint in thin coats and remove the mask while the finish is fresh. The set is cut for a particular kit of this type; please check compatibility.
