Responsibility details are not available.
A precise injection-molded plastic kit of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 fighter in 1:48 scale from the Japanese company Tamiya. It is a new mold with excellent accuracy of the parts and a finely engraved surface. The model offers a well rendered cockpit and a clear canopy, and the package also holds painting masks and decals for several machines. Tamiya kits go together exceptionally accurately and pleasantly.
The Bf 109 is one of the legends of aviation history, and the Luftwaffe used it throughout the Second World War. The G-6 version was the most mass-produced variant and made up more than a third of all production. It was powered by a liquid-cooled inverted V12 Daimler-Benz DB 605. Over the engine cowling it had the characteristic bulges covering the synchronized 13 mm machine guns; gondolas with 20 mm cannon could be hung under the wings. G-6 machines flew on every front, from the Defense of the Reich through the Eastern Front to the Mediterranean, and passed through the hands of many of the most successful Luftwaffe pilots.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with a thin liquid cement for plastic. Apply a primer before painting and spray the camouflage with an airbrush in thin coats. The enclosed masks ensure sharp frames on the glazing. Pick the panel lines out with a fine wash and suggest chipped paint on the leading edges.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
