The engine and cowling set for the Bloch MB.151 and MB.152 from SBS Model is an accessory in 1:48 scale, not a model of an aircraft: it replaces the plainly executed engine of a kit with a detailed casting.
Responsibility details are not available.
This item is not an aircraft kit but a detail set that you build into a model in 1:48 scale bought separately. The contents are the engine section and the engine cowling, that is exactly the area where ordinary kits show the most compromises: a radial engine is often only suggested in the plastic, and the front opening of the cowling has thick walls. The set replaces this section of the model with a more accurate part.
Proceed as with any cast accessory: wash the parts in warm water with detergent so that the remains of the mold release agent disappear, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and sand the remainder down with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the engine and bring out its detail before it is glued into the cowling; once the assembly is closed you will not reach it again. The set is cut for a particular kit in this scale, so try the fit dry before building and adjust the inside of the fuselage if need be.
For modelers who build French fighters of the Second World War and want to take the detail beyond the level of the box. The real subject was a single-engine fighter with a radial engine, on which the front of the fuselage makes up a substantial part of the silhouette, so the extra detail shows.
This is not a model of an aircraft. The base kit is not included in the package.
