1:48 British reflector gunsight of the Second World War is a resin accessory for the cockpit of a kit in 1:48 scale that you have already bought: it is not a model but a small detail that moves a cockpit on at once.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory from the Czech maker Brengun cast in modeling resin. It replaces the simplified gunsight from the kit you already have. The scope of the set is not stated here.
On British fighters of the Second World War the reflector gunsight was placed above the instrument panel directly in front of the pilot. The principle is simple: a light pattern was projected onto an angled glass through which the pilot saw out at the same time, so he did not have to shift his gaze between the reticle and the target. That is precisely why the gunsight is so well seen on a model with an open cockpit, and why it is worth replacing: the plastic part tends to be heavy and has no reticle.
These are very small parts, so clear up over your work surface and work over a tray, so that a part that flies off does not vanish on you. Wash the casting in warm water with dish soap. Cut the casting block off with a new scalpel blade; on small parts the sharpness of the blade matters more than the force of the pressure. It is glued with super glue in a really small amount, as an excess turns white and on a small part that shows. Spray the body of the gunsight in a matte dark color and bring the small controls out with a brush. If the glass of the reflector is not in the set, you will easily cut one from clear film or from a thin slice of transparent plastic; sand the edges so that they are not milky.
A supplementary set. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
