It holds six examples of the 12.7 mm (.50 cal) Browning M-2 aircraft machine gun in 1:48 scale, with the body of the weapon, the barrel cooling jacket and faithfully rendered detail. It is not a model or an aircraft kit: it is an armament accessory for advanced modelers, with which the simplified plastic machine guns from the box can be replaced or an open gun bay completed. Cast resin renders the fine structure of the weapon far more faithfully than injection-molded plastic.
The 12.7 mm Browning M-2 was the standard heavy machine gun of American wartime aircraft of the Second World War and of the postwar era, and it is among the most widely used aircraft weapons there are. It appeared in the wings and fuselages of fighters and in the defensive gun positions of bombers, so the set will find a use on a wide range of models.
It is supplied as a resin accessory, unpainted. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
