A decal sheet from the specialized Hungarian manufacturer SBS Model brings the markings of the fighter aircraft that the Finnish Air Force operated as captured equipment during the Second World War. The sheet is intended for finishing built models in 1:48 scale and opens the way to less usual schemes that will not be overlooked in a display case or on a competition table.
During the Second World War Finland made up its disparate air park with captured machines as well. These were repaired, remarked with Finnish national insignia and tactical codes and put into ordinary service. It was precisely this practice that gave rise to some of the most interesting camouflage schemes of the whole conflict, a combination of the original finish with Finnish markings. For a modeler it is a rewarding opportunity to build a well known type of aircraft in a guise that few people have in their collection.
Apply the decals on a gloss base; spray the surface of the model with gloss varnish beforehand so that no air stays trapped under the decal. Separate the individual motifs with a sharp knife, soak them briefly in lukewarm water and settle them on the model with a soft brush. In textured places a softener helps; once dry, even the whole out with a final varnish according to the degree of sheen you have chosen.
The decal sheet is an accessory; the model of the aircraft itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
