A set of waterslide decals in 1:48 scale from the maker Furball Aero-Design forms the second part of a collection devoted to the American Republic P-47 Thunderbolt fighter. It concentrates on the late long-range version deployed in the Pacific and brings a quantity of varied markings with nose art. The decals are printed to top quality and are intended for a matching plastic model; the model itself is not included in the package.
The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was a massive and rugged American fighter powered by a radial engine with a turbocharger. In its late form with auxiliary tanks it gained a long range, thanks to which it escorted bombers and attacked ground targets across the vast Pacific theater. The machines carried richly decorated noses and personal names, which turn a model into a colorful piece with a story.
Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss coat so that the film does not silver. Lay the large paintings on the noses down in sections and settle them with a decal softener, then draw them into the panel lines with a setting solution. Keep the natural metal surface clean and even the finished markings out with a semi-gloss varnish.
The set holds decals only. The model, the paints and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
