Curtiss P-40E Warhawk tail wheel bay PRINT 1:48 (Eduard)

A resin, directly 3D printed detail set from Eduard in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane model but an accessory that replaces the tail wheel bay of a Curtiss P-40E Warhawk model with a more faithful part with rendered structure of the walls, the stiffeners and the fittings. The 3D printing technology allows fine detail that injected plastic usually cannot manage.

Usage tips

• Separate the part from the print supports and clean up the surfaces for fitting.
• Wash it before gluing and let it dry; slight reworking of the opening in the fuselage may be needed.
• Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and sand with respiratory protection.
• Painting in interior shades and a wash bring out the detail of the fittings in the bay.
