de Havilland Vampire F.3 - steel seat belts 1:48 is a color photo-etched set from Eduard for realistic belts in the cockpit of the model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This color photo-etched set holds the crew seat belts only, made of steel. Steel holds the shape of a bend and drapes naturally, so the belts look realistically thrown over the seat. The parts are pre-painted and need no painting. It is not an airplane model but a cockpit accessory in 1:48 scale, intended for plastic models of the de Havilland Vampire F.3 fighter.
The de Havilland Vampire was one of the first British jet fighters. The characteristic twin-boom tail layout and the short fuselage with its jet engine gave the machine an unmistakable silhouette. The F.3 version brought increased range and changes to the tail surfaces; it served with the Royal Air Force and with export users at the turn of the 1940s and 1950s.
Form the steel belts with tweezers into a natural fold and fix them with a drop of cyanoacrylate glue. The color print comes out well after a light matte clear coat and picking out the buckles.
This is an accessory set, not a model. The base kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
