Douglas A-1 Skyraider landing gear bays 1:48

This is not a complete aircraft model but a resin (3D-printed) detail accessory for models of the Douglas A-1 Skyraider attack aircraft. The set adds faithfully rendered main landing gear bays with the internal structure that a basic kit usually lacks.

Use

  • Fitting the landing gear bays on an A-1 Skyraider model in 1:48.
  • More realism on the underside of the wing and on the landing gear.
  • Suitable for models with the landing gear extended.

Usage tips

  • Wash the print resin residue off the parts and let them dry.
  • Cut off the print supports and clean up the surfaces.
  • Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue).
  • Bring out the internal detail with a wash after painting.

  • Modelers of postwar and Vietnam-era aircraft.
  • More experienced builders with a taste for superdetailing.

The accessory is supplied as a resin part, unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
