A set of resin ejection seats with faithfully modeled seat harnesses for the American Grumman EA-6B Prowler electronic warfare aircraft in 1:48 scale from the Quickboost brand (the range of simple resin parts from Aires). The Prowler carries a four-man crew, so the set covers the whole cockpit. It is not an airplane model but a detail replacement for the seats, which takes the place of the simplified plastic kit parts and does away with folding photo-etched straps.
The EA-6B Prowler was an American carrier-based electronic warfare aircraft derived from the A-6 Intruder attack aircraft. Unlike the two-seat Intruder it had a lengthened nose with a four-man crew - the pilot and the operators of the jamming systems. The aircraft's task was to jam enemy radars and communications and so protect other aircraft. The four seats are clearly visible in an open cockpit.
These are resin castings. Wash them in lukewarm soapy water and clear them of mold release residue, otherwise neither paint nor glue will hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw away from the part and sand the surfaces. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), not with plastic cement. Protect your airways while sanding.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin set for more experienced modelers. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
