This is a resin detail cockpit set in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Aires. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for improving a kit of the Prowler in the late ICAP-2 configuration. The set usually brings cast cockpit tubs, side consoles, instrument panels and seats with fine relief matching the multi-seat working cockpit.
The Grumman EA-6B Prowler was an American carrier-based electronic warfare aircraft with a crew of four, derived from the A-6 Intruder attack aircraft. The ICAP-2 (Improved Capability II) configuration modernized the equipment for jamming and for the suppression of hostile air defenses. The Prowler served for decades as a key electronic warfare asset.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate the casting blocks and bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). We recommend finishing the painting of the fairly extensive cockpit before the fuselage is closed. Sand resin with respiratory protection.
This is an accessory for a kit, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
