This resin detail set contains a faithfully rendered exhaust nozzle of the F-100 Super Sabre aircraft in the C and D versions in 1:48 scale. It is an accessory for a kit that replaces the simplified plastic nozzle with a fine structure of petals and interior space.
The F-100 Super Sabre is an American fighter that went down in history as the first production type from its maker able to exceed the speed of sound in level flight. The C and D versions were among the most widespread standards. The exhaust nozzle is a prominent feature at the tail of the aircraft.
Wash the parts to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The nozzle comes into its own once it is painted in metallic shades and the heat-stressed surfaces are picked out.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin accessory for a kit. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
