This is a photo-etched metal detail set, not a tank model. The basic set (vol.1) from the Polish manufacturer Aber holds fine photo-etched parts that replace or complete the flat plastic features on a model of the Soviet T-34/76 medium tank of the early production batches (the 1940/41 model). Thin photo-etched parts bring a truer sheet thickness, meshes and small details that injected plastic cannot reach.
The T-34/76 was a Soviet medium tank of the Second World War, famous for combining sloped armor, wide tracks and a powerful 76 mm gun. The early 1940 and 1941 models were marked by a cast or welded turret and by characteristic hull details from the start of production.
Cut the parts from the fret with a sharp knife, bend them on a photo-etch bending tool or along a ruler and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease the metal and give it a coat of primer before painting, for adhesion. Work with tweezers and in good light.
An accessory for a plastic kit. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
