An accessory set in 1:48 scale for a model of the American Convair F-106 Delta Dart interceptor. It is built into a kit obtained separately.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Convair F-106 Delta Dart was an American interceptor intended to defend the airspace of the United States. You recognize it by its large delta wing and the absence of horizontal tail surfaces; pitch control is handled by flaps on the trailing edge of the wing. It was a single-seat machine whose armament was carried inside the fuselage so as not to disturb the shape of the airframe. It stayed in service with air defense units from the end of the 1950s for decades and is among the most distinctive silhouettes of the Cold War.
This is an accessory set for an F-106 model in 1:48 scale, that is, parts that are built into a kit obtained separately. The extent of the parts, their placement on the model and any modifications needed to the kit are given in the instructions enclosed with the set.
The parts are not polystyrene, so ordinary solvent cement has no effect on them; super glue holds reliably, and two-part epoxy on larger areas. Cut off excess material and production marks with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder. Level the mating surfaces on sandpaper laid on a flat base and test-fit the part dry first, because super glue does not forgive later corrections. Wash and degrease the parts before painting.
This is an accessory set. The aircraft kit, paints, glue and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
