This resin detail set holds faithfully rendered exhaust nozzles of the F-14 Tomcat in the B and D versions in 1:48 scale. It is an accessory for a kit that replaces the simplified plastic nozzles and adds a fine structure of the petals and of the inner space.
The F-14 Tomcat is an American two-seat carrier-based fighter with a variable-geometry wing. The B and D versions were powered by engines of the F110 series, which differ from the original powerplants of the A version in the shape and the execution of the exhaust nozzles as well. That is exactly what this set takes into account.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The nozzles come into their own once painted in metal shades, with the heat-stressed areas picked out gently.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin accessory for a kit. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
