This resin detail set in 1:48 scale adds faithfully rendered ejection seats including safety belts to the cockpit of an F-15D Eagle model. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory that replaces the simplified plastic seats from the box with finely cast parts with rendered belts. Because the D version is two-seat, the set contains seats for both stations. It is intended for more experienced modelers.
The McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle is an American twin-engine air superiority fighter. The two-seat F-15D version serves above all for training while keeping the combat capability of the single-seat version. Faithful ejection seats are one of the details that most enliven the roomy cockpit of this machine.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water to remove the mold release agent from the mold. Separate the seats from the casting blocks by cutting, not by snapping, and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand the resin with respiratory protection or wet, because resin dust is harmful. Spray the seats with a base coat, set the belts apart in color and bring the whole out with a wash and a dry brush.
It is supplied as an unglued and unpainted resin set. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
