A small resin part — the fuel dump mast — for models of the F-4B Phantom II fighter in 1:48 scale. The accurate casting replaces the coarser plastic part between the engines at the rear of the fuselage.
The dump mast served for dumping fuel in an emergency; on the Phantom it protrudes between the engine nozzles and is a prominent detail of the rear end. A resin casting renders the thin profile better than injection-molded plastic. This is an accessory, not an aircraft model.
Separate the part from the casting block, clean it up and glue it with cyanoacrylate glue. Because of its tiny size, work with tweezers and apply the paint in a thin coat.
It is supplied as a resin detail set; paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
