The resin detail set F-4D Phantom II cockpit set, early version, in 1:48 scale from Aires. It is a cockpit accessory for a plastic kit, not an airplane model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set is a resin cockpit accessory for a plastic kit of the two-seat F-4D Phantom II fighter in 1:48 scale, in the form matching the early version. It is not an airplane model but a detail set that replaces the original cockpit of a kit with a more faithful casting of the instrument panels, side consoles and the tubs of both crew members. The early and the late version differ in the layout of the cockpit, so it is worth choosing the form according to the machine you are building.
The McDonnell Douglas F-4D Phantom II was a development version of the American two-seat twin-engine fighter, derived from the F-4C with revised cockpit equipment and avionics. It served above all in the 1960s and 1970s. The two-seat cockpit laid out one behind the other is among the characteristic features of the Phantom.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate the casting blocks and bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Check the fit with the kit parts before gluing it into the fuselage. Sand resin with respiratory protection. The interior comes into its own once the base surfaces are painted and the instruments are picked out with a gentle wash and a dry brush.
This is a resin detail set, that is, an accessory for a kit. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
