The TFace designation means that the set covers the glazing from two sides: besides the outer frames it handles their appearance seen from the cockpit as well. It is made for Sabres of production blocks 25 and 30 in 1:48 scale, and the name of the item states the particular aircraft.
The Sabre has a large sliding canopy with a high light transmission, so once closed you can see the seat and the instrument panel from a fairly wide angle. If the inner outline of the frame stayed the color of the transparent part, the eye would register it at once as glass with no structure. A real cockpit has the inner sides of the frames in the interior shade and against it a contrasting outer camouflage or bare metal. Double-sided masking lets you spray both on one part without covering by hand.
The F version was the most numerous production form of the whole type. Against the earlier forms it received a more powerful engine and an upgraded sight with a radio ranging unit, which showed in the effectiveness of gunnery against rapidly maneuvering targets. Machines of the late blocks were built in two plants, and after the fighting in Korea ended a number of European and Asian air forces operated them for many more years, often in natural metal finish, on which the cleanliness of the frames is especially visible.
