An injection-molded plastic kit of the American F-86F Sabre jet fighter in the markings of one particular machine nicknamed The Huff, in 1:48 scale from Academy. The model offers a well detailed cockpit interior, landing gear bay and engine section, clear canopy parts and external stores. Check the exact package contents and the markings against the enclosed instructions.
The F-86 Sabre was an American single-engine swept-wing jet fighter, one of the most important machines of its era and the main opponent of the Soviet MiG-15s in the Korean War. The F-86F version was a high-performance day fighter variant; the particular machine known as The Huff carried striking personal markings and is among the best known Sabres of the Korean period. The Sabre became famous for its agility and the good visibility from the cockpit.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and the clear parts with cyanoacrylate. Paint the cockpit and the instrument panel before you close the fuselage; the canopy can be built open and protected with a mask during spraying. A primer and an airbrush are recommended; glossy natural metal surfaces come out well with metallic paints over a smooth base, and the panel lines with a fine wash. Pay attention to the exact placing of the decals for the striking personal markings.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
