The Quinta Studio 1:48 interior 3D decal for the Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat brings colored, raised cockpit detail printed on decal backing paper and applied by the wet method.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a set of colored 3D decals from Quinta Studio intended for a quick and faithful upgrade of a carrier fighter interior. The details are printed on decal backing paper, they have real depth and color, and they are applied as a wet decal, without photo-etching or resin parts. The set typically covers the instrument panel, the side panels, the seat and further elements of the pilot's compartment.
The Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat was the main carrier fighter of the US Navy in the early Pacific war. It stood out for its rugged structure, folding wings for stowage on carriers and six machine guns. A faithful interior is one of the striking features of the finished model of this machine.
Cut out one part at a time, dip it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the backing paper onto a clean surface. The parts have no adhesive layer of their own and hold on a gloss varnish (Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22); on broken surfaces a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as the chemicals attack the printed resin. The set works beautifully with an open canopy, where the detail stands out most.
This is an aftermarket accessory (a 3D decal), not a kit. The model itself and the paints are not included in the package.
