An injection-molded plastic kit of the American F4F-4 Wildcat carrier fighter in its late rendition, in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. The model captures the late production form of the machine. The particular edition and the contents of the package (decals, any accessories) differ from one release to another.
The Grumman F4F Wildcat was the main carrier fighter of the US Navy and the Marine Corps in the first years of the war in the Pacific. A robust structure, good armor protection and self-sealing tanks made it a tough opponent for the Japanese machines. The F4F-4 version brought folding wings and heavier armament, which made operating from carrier decks easier.
We recommend a thin cement for plastic, a primer and an airbrush. Paint the cockpit interior before closing up the fuselage. Mask the glazing and fit it at the end. With naval schemes give attention to the transitions between shades and unify the surface with a gloss coat before the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
