This resin Aires set in 1:48 scale is a detail accessory, not an airplane model. It replaces the cockpit in a kit of the F4U-1 Corsair fighter with a faithfully cast instrument panel, side consoles, a seat and other features that injection-molded plastic usually simplifies.
The Vought F4U-1 Corsair was an American single-seat carrier-based fighter of the Second World War with its characteristic inverted gull wing and a powerful radial engine. It excelled both as a fighter and as a ground-attack aircraft and served above all with the navy and the Marine Corps.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate the casting blocks and bond with super glue. The interior is best painted and assembled before the fuselage is closed. The instruments and the belts come into their own once picked out with a dark wash and a dry brush.
