Precise 3D-printed resin exhaust nozzles for the American carrier-based F/A-18 Super Hornet fighter in 1:48 scale from the Ukrainian brand Reskit. The set replaces the plastic engine nozzles in the kit from Meng with a more faithful and more finely divided rendering. It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory that raises the realism of the tail of the machine. This is the type 1 variant.
The exhaust nozzles are among the most exposed places on a model. Thin petals and inner texture are hard to mold in plastic, whereas printed resin captures sharp edges, thin walls and the interior more convincingly. The type 1 and type 2 renderings differ in the shape of the nozzles, so choose according to photographs of your own machine.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, separate them from the carrier blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate; protect your airways when sanding. Apply a primer before painting and finish the nozzles in shades of steel and burnt metal.
An accessory for advanced modelers, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
