A cockpit set for a model of the F/A-18A Hornet carrier-based aircraft in 1:48 scale. It replaces the cockpit interior in a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F/A-18 Hornet is an American carrier-based multirole aircraft that handles both fighter and attack tasks. The F/A-18A version is the single-seat form of the first generation of this type. Its cockpit is clearly visible, especially if you build the model with the canopy slid back, which is why it is the interior that shows a carefully built piece.
A cockpit set for an F/A-18A Hornet model in 1:48 scale, that is, a replacement for the cockpit interior with finer drawn detail than the kit parts offer. The exact scope of the set and the kits it is prepared for are given in the manufacturer's instructions. Cockpit sets as a rule call for reworking the kit parts so that the cockpit tub seats between the fuselage halves; judge the extent of this work from the instructions before you start building.
Dry-fit the parts and bring the fuselage halves together repeatedly until they close without pressure. Cut the excess material off a little way from the part with a sharp blade and sand the remainder down, so that the mating surfaces stay flat. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Super glue works well for bonding. Paint the interior before closing the fuselage, then pick out the fine detail with a darker glaze and a dry brush.
The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
