An injection-molded plastic kit of the light combat aircraft FA-50GF in Polish Air Force markings, in 1:48 scale from Hobby 2000. The box is completed by quality decals and pre-cut painting masks, which make applying the color scheme easier. It is a release aimed at the current Polish service of this type.
The FA-50 is a light combat and lead-in fighter trainer developed by the South Korean company Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) in cooperation with an American partner. It is derived from the supersonic trainer T-50 Golden Eagle and in its combat form it can carry air-to-air as well as air-to-ground armament. Poland acquired these machines as a modern addition to its air force; the GF (Gap Filler) version serves to cover the needs quickly until the fully equipped version is delivered. The aircraft combines a training role with a light combat capability.
Use thin cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. Finish the cockpit and the seat before you close the fuselage. Apply a primer before painting and put the paints on with an airbrush. Use the enclosed masks on the canopy glazing as well as on the broken-up parts of the scheme. Glue the glazing with a cement meant for canopies so that the clear parts do not fog up.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
