Fairchild A-10A Thunderbolt II instrument panels in 1:48 from the Red Fox Studio brand fill out the pilot's station of the ground-attack aircraft. Intended for Hobby Boss kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of instrument panels from Red Fox Studio equips the pilot's station of the ground-attack aircraft with rendered dials, switches and control panels. It is applied like a decal on a carrier film and fills the empty area that a plastic kit usually leaves at this scale. The aircraft model itself is not part of the delivery. The set is intended for Hobby Boss kits.
The A-10 was created around a seven-barrel 30 mm cannon, which takes up a substantial part of the forward fuselage. The pair of turbofan engines set high at the rear reduces the risk of ingesting debris and shields the hot nozzles from infrared-guided missiles. The pilot is surrounded by a titanium tub and the airframe takes considerable damage. The machine has served for close air support of ground troops since the late 1970s. The cockpit of the first version stayed purely analog, with classic round gauges and mechanical switches across the whole width of the panel.
Level the area of the original panel, remove any burrs and free the surface of grease. Offer the set up dry, check that it sits in the frame and only then press it down. Close the cockpit after an interval so the accessory has time to settle. Before you put the seat back in place, make sure that no edge overhangs the rim of the tub.
