1:48 Fairey Fulmar Mk.II SPACE is a set of 3D printed decals of the SPACE line from the Czech maker Eduard, meant to bring a model cockpit to life.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set from the SPACE line, made by the Czech company Eduard of Obrnice near Most. The line is built on 3D printed decals with a raised surface, which are fixed to the cockpit parts with white glue, and Eduard adds pre-painted photo-etched seat belts to them. The result is a colorful and well-divided pilot's environment with no need to paint and shade every instrument laboriously one by one. It is not a kit of the aircraft.
The Fairey Fulmar was a British carrier fighter of the Fleet Air Arm, two-seat, with the pilot and the observer sitting one behind the other. It was powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine and the armament consisted of machine guns in the wing. The Mk.II version received a more powerful powerplant. The Fulmars served from 1940, mainly over the Mediterranean and on convoy escort, where endurance and a second pair of eyes counted for more than agility.
First free the surfaces on which the 3D decal will seat of grease and of any flash. Moisten only the backing paper, lift the element off with tweezers and press it gently with a cotton swab into a drop of white glue. Do not use a decal softener at all, the chemicals would attack the printed resin. Once it has dried, a light matte clear coat is enough, and only where the surface should look duller; leave the instrument faces glossy.
The accessory is sold on its own, a plastic model of the Fulmar is not included.
