This Eduard Brassin resin accessory set replaces the plastic landing gear wheels of the base kit of the British Fairey Gannet AS.1/AS.4 carrier anti-submarine aircraft in 1:48 scale. The cast parts offer sharper tread and rim detail and a more faithful tire shape than split plastic wheels manage.
It is a detail set, not an aircraft model. It improves the look of the main landing gear; the tires can be given a light flattening to suggest a machine standing on the ground.
Wash the parts to remove any mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Varnish the tires matte and pick the rims out in a different color; any masks included make a clean transition easier.
The set is an accessory to a plastic model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
