A set of pre-cut self-adhesive masks of the brand New Ware in the Basic variant for a model of the British jet trainer Folland Gnat T.1. This is not a kit — they are precisely shaped masks of thin masking tape which adhere to the outer canopy glazing and make it possible to spray the frames with a clean, sharp edge. The Basic variant covers the outer side of the glazing; the more extensive levels of the set add masks for the wheels and further details.
The Folland Gnat T.1 is a British light jet trainer, famous above all as a former machine of the British aerobatic team the Red Arrows. The small two-seat airplane with a glazed canopy is a rewarding subject on which sharp masking of the frames shows markedly.
Lay the masks on clean outer glazing, press them down along the edges and spray the shade of the frames and the fuselage. The thin tape adapts to the rounding and leaves a sharp edge. Lift the masks off carefully once the paint has dried. For the best adhesion, degrease the surface before sticking the masks on, free it of dust and press the masks down with a soft tool so that the paint does not run under the edge.
This is a masking set. The model and the paints are not included in the package.
