Responsibility details are not available.
A board from the Kelik line of display bases carries the motif of the French aircraft roundel, that is concentric circles in blue, white and red. This insignia is among the very oldest national aircraft markings in the world: French machines have carried it since before the First World War and it appears in a practically unchanged form on present-day types as well. The dimensions 240 x 240 mm, the acrylic thickness of 3 mm and the weight of 190 g are given by the name of the item.
A colored roundel under a machine works like the frame of a picture. It draws the eye to the center, where the model belongs, and leaves the edges at rest. It looks especially good under aircraft in gray or aluminum shades, which bring no color to a display case by themselves and merge into the background on a white board. Under dark camouflage, on the other hand, the motif recedes a little, which may also be the intention.
Place the model in the middle of the circle and leave a clear margin around it so that the whole insignia reads. Put a caption or a plate with the name of the machine off the board, as it would be distracting on this motif. If you want to add to the scene, a single figure by the wing will do; more accessories cover the graphics of the ground. Wipe the surface before photographing, as every speck shows on a smooth surface.
