The resin set Fw 190A-3 gun bay from Aires in 1:48 scale. A detail resin gun bay for the Fw 190A-3 fighter; it is not an airplane model but a replacement exposed section for a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a detail resin set of the gun bay, not an airplane model. The set makes it possible to open the armament section on an Fw 190A-3 kit and reveal the internal fit of the weapons and their housing in resin parts. The installation calls for cutting out the relevant panels on the kit and adapting the structure, which is why the set is intended for more experienced modelers. It is made by Aires.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-3 was an early version of the German Fw 190 fighter with the BMW 801 radial engine. The type was among the well armored and heavily armed machines of the Second World War, and its onboard weapons were housed in the fuselage and in the wing. An open gun bay shows the installation of the armament, which is normally hidden under the panels.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut them from the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The panels on the kit have to be cut out precisely and the edges sanded; protect your airways when sanding resin and ventilate the space. The inside of the bay is brought to life by metallic shades, a gentle wash and dry highlighting of the edges.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
