A complete resin pilot's space for the 1:48 Fw 190A-4. Eduard Brassin 1:48 Fw-190A-4 cockpit replaces the tub, the seat and the side walls with detailed castings.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set exchanges the whole pilot's space of a kit: the tub with the floor, the seat, the side walls with their equipment and the instrument panel. The castings are sharp in shape and carry the tiny levers and riveting that do not fit into an injection mold. The investment pays off with a model with the canopy slid open, where the view goes well inside.
The A-4 version was given the BMW 801D-2 engine and above all the new FuG 16Z radio set, which you recognize by the short triangular mast on the vertical tail surface. It was deployed from the autumn of 1942 in the west and on the Eastern Front, and in tropical trim over Tunisia as well. Pilots praised the fighter for its firm controls at high speeds, the excellent view from the high-set cockpit and the powerful armament in the wing roots.
The castings tend to be on blocks which have to be cut off exactly on the marked plane, otherwise the width of the fuselage will not fit. Try the seating into the fuselage halves dry and sand the inner walls out if need be. It pays off to paint in parts before gluing, so that the nozzle of the airbrush reaches into the corners.
This is a detail set which you obtain for a model separately.
