A pitot tube and angle-of-attack probes for the General Dynamics F-16XL / F-CK-1 prototype 1:48 from the manufacturer MASTER - turned brass parts instead of plastic. An aftermarket accessory, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
An aftermarket detail accessory from the manufacturer MASTER, not a kit. It holds a turned brass pitot tube and angle-of-attack (AoA) probes for models of the experimental General Dynamics F-16XL and of the F-CK-1 prototype in 1:48 scale. The metal parts will replace the fragile plastic parts from the original kit.
The pitot tube at the front and the angle-of-attack probes are conspicuous and at the same time very fragile elements. The brass version has the correctly thin, sharp profile, it does not deform and the result looks realistic. The set covers both the F-16XL and the version of the F-CK-1 prototype.
Cut off the plastic parts, drill the holes into the nose and the fuselage and glue the brass replacements in with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Deburr and degrease the parts. Given the small dimensions, the work is suitable for advanced modelers; brass takes a primer and paint well.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
