A set of jack stands of the Luftwaffe in 1:48 scale, listed in the name under the English term jack stand. An accessory for a diorama or an airfield scene.
Responsibility details are not available.
A jack stand was part of the basic equipment of airfield personnel. An aircraft was lifted onto it whenever there was work to do with it out of its normal position on the wheels: when testing the retraction of the landing gear, when changing a wheel, when repairing a landing gear leg and when harmonizing the guns, which requires the machine to stand in the flying position. No unit on an airfield managed without stands, and in period photographs they can be seen as often as the aircraft themselves.
This is an accessory for a model in 1:48 scale, not an aircraft kit. How many pieces the set holds, what material the parts are and how they go together is given in the manufacturer's instructions, so go through them before you start work. Cut any surplus material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest away carefully; pressing the blade straight into the part does not pay off.
They come out best in a scene where an aircraft stands lifted and a crew works around it. Such a scene explains to the viewer what is going on at the airfield far better than a model parked on a flat surface. Ground equipment was worn in service, so do not spare the signs of use on it: scuffed places, dust and dents will give it conviction. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, so that the finish holds on them and does not peel off when they are handled.
The aircraft model, figures, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
