Mr.Paint MRP-A097 Ocean Grey, a water-thinnable acrylic, 17 ml

A model paint from the MRP Aqua line of Mr.Paint. It is a water-thinnable acrylic in a 17 ml dropper bottle, intended for airbrush and brush. Compared with lacquer paints this line has a markedly lower odor and the tools are cleaned with water or with the thinner intended for the Aqua line. The shade Ocean Grey corresponds to the British ocean gray, one of the two upper camouflage colors of the later RAF day fighter scheme, which replaced the older combination with an earth brown.

Use

• The upper camouflage of British RAF aircraft in the day fighter scheme (ocean gray combined with a dark green), typically fighters from the second half of the Second World War.
• Airbrush: the paint is ready to spray and if needed can be thinned further with water or with the thinner for the Aqua line; spray in thin covering coats.
• Brush: apply in thin coats and add the next one only once the previous has dried completely.
• Shake the bottle thoroughly before use. Wash the airbrush and brushes immediately after work, before the paint dries.
• A primer is recommended on smooth and glossy surfaces; the camouflage is followed by a clear coat according to the finish you want and the weathering to come.

For modelers of British Second World War aircraft who want an accurate shade from a coherent RAF palette and at the same time appreciate working with a water-thinnable acrylic, without the aggressive smell of thinners and with easy cleaning. Thanks to the low odor it is a practical choice for building in an apartment and for modelers starting out with an airbrush. The paint combines well with other shades of the British palette (dark green, medium sea gray, Sky).

The paint is intended for modeling use. Work in a well-ventilated area and do not inhale the atomized aerosol; use a respirator when spraying. Avoid contact with the eyes, keep out of the reach of children and close the bottle carefully after use.
