A set of injection-molded plastic aircraft bombs in 1:48 scale from the Polish manufacturer Mirage Hobby. Note that it is not a kit of an aircraft — it is an add-on set of armament intended for arming models that are already built or still under construction. It contains bombs of two areas: German aircraft ordnance of the First World War period and Polish ordnance of the interwar years. The MAX SET designation distinguishes this extended variant from the smaller sets on the same subject that the manufacturer also offers in other scales.
Nip the parts out with sprue cutters and sand the marks of the sprues down — on bombs a visible mold parting line is distracting, because the surface is smooth. It is advisable to spray a bomb separately before it is fitted under the wing or into a rack, because in the finished assembly it is hard to get to. The metal parts of the fins and the attachment lugs will stand out after being gone over with a dark wash, and light rubbing and fine dirtying suit the body so that a bomb does not look freshly made. The color schemes and the marking of ordnance differed according to the type and the period — if you are not sure, choose a sparing treatment without pronounced bands.
The set contains add-on parts only, not a model of an aircraft. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
