Responsibility details are not available.
Resin position (navigation) lights for the British Gloster Gladiator fighter biplane in 1:48 scale from Quickboost (the range of simple resin parts from the maker Aires). The small castings replace the simplified plastic parts and faithfully imitate the navigation lights on the wingtips. It is not an airplane model, but a small detail replacement that can be undercoated and made to look lit for a faithful effect.
The Gloster Gladiator was the last British fighter biplane in Royal Air Force service, with a Bristol Mercury radial engine. It saw action in the early fighting of the Second World War, among other places in the defense of Malta. The position lights on the tips of the upper and lower wings are a small but conspicuous detail that is worth rendering faithfully.
These are resin castings. Wash them in lukewarm soapy water and rid them of mold release residue from the mold, otherwise neither paint nor glue will hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw away from the part and sand the surfaces. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, not with cement for plastic. Protect your airways while sanding. Undercoat the lights in silver and go over them with clear colored coat (red, green) so that they look lit.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin set for more experienced modelers. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
