A coat rack 1:48 is a small scenic accessory for a diorama — a piece of interior equipment for a corridor, a workshop or quarters. It is not a model kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a small object of a scene for a diorama in 1:48 scale, not a model and not a kit. A coat rack belongs to the equipment that works reliably in an interior scene: a hung coat, cap or satchel suggests at once that somebody is using the room, even when no figure is standing in it. It therefore tells of action without having to show it.
The scale is the distinguishing detail. The accessory is made for 1:48. The manufacturer also makes the same subject in further scales — for 1:35 or 1:72 choose the matching variant, as with small interior equipment a mismatch is very noticeable.
In a corridor and a hallway, in a workshop or a garage, in an office, quarters and the back area of a duty room. It shows best against a wall at the place the viewer's eye is led to, ideally paired with other small equipment — a chair, a cabinet or gear set aside.
The part is small, so work with tweezers over a tray with a rim. Wash it before painting and let it dry, cut the casting residue off and sand it. Lay the base down thinly. A wooden rack is brought to life with a glaze over a light base, while a metal one looks good in a dark steel tone with light wear on the edges. Add a thin wash into the corners and under the hooks, so that the element casts a shadow and does not float on the wall. A matte varnish at the end.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and other materials are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
