Colored three-dimensional interior elements for the Hs 129 B-2 in 1:48 scale. They are cut from the sheet, soaked briefly in lukewarm water and slid into place.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Henschel Hs 129 was a German single-seat twin-engined attack aircraft intended for strikes against ground targets. The pilot sat in a heavily armored cockpit that was very tight, and the layout of the instruments matches that. The B-2 version is among the later forms of the series.
The set replaces the flat molded cockpit detail with colored elements that have real thickness: the instrument panel with legible dials, the side panels, the seat with harness and the rest of the pilot's compartment equipment. The colors and lettering are printed at the factory, so painting the tiny instruments, which is slow work in 1:48 scale, falls away.
The elements are printed on a decal backing paper. Cut the part from the sheet, soak it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the paper into place. It has no adhesive layer of its own: it holds on gloss varnish, with which you coat the surface beforehand, and on uneven areas a drop of cyanoacrylate helps. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution, as the chemistry would attack the printed resin. Clean and degrease the surface, sand off the original molded detail so that the element seats over its whole area, and work before the fuselage is glued together. Before buying, compare the shapes of the parts against the instructions.
The set suits modelers who want the cockpit of an attack aircraft finished without painting dials. The kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
