Replacement exhausts for a model of the Soviet Polikarpov I-153 biplane in 1:48 scale. They replace the kit parts and have open mouths.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Polikarpov I-153 with the nickname Chaika, meaning gull, is a Soviet single-seat fighter biplane of the end of the 1930s. You can tell it by the upper wing cranked into the shape of gull wings, which gave it its nickname, and by the retractable landing gear, which was unusual on a biplane of the time. The powerplant was an air-cooled radial engine, and its exhausts emerge around the circumference of the engine cowling, that is at the most looked-at place on a finished model.
The set brings replacement exhausts for a model of the I-153 in 1:48 scale. They replace the kit parts, which tend to be blanked off or merely suggested, and offer open mouths as well as finer outlines to the walls. It is the exchange of a single detail, so it does not rebuild the model in any way and even a less experienced modeler can manage it.
Cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and sand the rest carefully, so that the mating surface stays flat. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the paint holds badly. Use cyanoacrylate for gluing; the details are given in the manufacturer's instructions. When painting, a dark base coat works well, with rust and brown shades laid on lightly over it and finally a darkened mouth, which gives the impression of service.
The aircraft model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
