Tamiya TS-53 Deep Metallic Blue (100 ml spray, made by Tamiya)

A spray paint from the Tamiya TS range. The binder is a synthetic lacquer that dries fast to a smooth glossy surface with a metallic effect. The shade is a deep dark metallic blue. The can holds 100 ml, which covers roughly two to three bodies in 1:24 scale. The spray is ready for immediate use and is not thinned.

Use

• Apply in thin coats from a distance of roughly 20 to 30 cm onto a clean, degreased and smooth surface.
• The metallic pigment settles to the bottom, so shake the can thoroughly before and during work.
• Apply a metallic finish rather at the end, as it is harder to overspray and to mask.
• Do not apply it over an enamel surface, as a lacquer spray could attack it.
• Once dry, the detail can be finished with acrylic or enamel paints, which will not attack the coat.

For modelers of cars and motorcycles who want a deep glossy metallic blue with an even coat and without an airbrush.

The spray is flammable, so work in a well ventilated area away from sources of flame and protect your airways. It is not recommended for clear polycarbonate (Lexan) RC bodies; use the Tamiya PS range for those.
